He has carried the years, and the years have carried him. A figure shaped not by softness, but by everything he has withstood.
"Void 004. Forged by Time" shows a man in the later chapters of his strength. The head turns aside, the jaw set, while the hands come together at the chest in a gesture that is half rest, half resolve. The shoulders and arms still hold their old power, yet every line of the body admits the years that made it.
No paint. No print. No ink. The image exists in depth, not on the surface. Every visible point is a controlled absence in the material, and the figure appears where light finds those voids and returns. Move, and the surface answers. Points brighten, sink back, reappear. The body keeps being rebuilt by the light, the way time keeps rebuilding a man.
The title is literal. Nothing about this figure arrived finished. He was forged slowly, by labor, by loss, by repetition, by endurance. The fourth work of the founding Void series holds that slow making still: a form that does not hide its age, but wears it as structure.
Void 004. Forged by Time continues the Art with Void series by Tijs Dragtsma, in which imagery is constructed through depth and absence rather than paint or print. A visual language where absence is not emptiness, but presence.
"Time does not wear a man down. It forges him."
