A Mind Unraveling Into Stars begins where the visible ends. Albert Einstein's face rises from an absolute black ground, caught in profile, familiar and unmistakable, as if remembered rather than seen. It is the last moment before the physical gives way to the abstract.

His hair, always wild in photographs, does not stay hair for long. Strand by strand it loosens into curved equations, floating symbols and small particles that drift outward until they are swallowed by the dark. The likeness holds, but the mind behind it keeps moving, turning itself into pure thought.

No paint. No print. No ink. The image is scratched into the surface of the acrylic glass, built through controlled surface damage rather than anything added on top. The brilliant white lines and the silence of the black around them carry the whole portrait, nothing softened, nothing filled in with grey.

The portrait is always present, with or without direct light. Light does not create the image. It sharpens it. Under a shifting angle the contrast deepens, the equations catch and release across the surface, and the piece reads differently from different angles, without ever losing the image.

From a distance, the work reads as a single, monumental face, calm and certain. Step closer and that face dissolves into a field of controlled scratches, an intimate structure that only reveals itself up close, before resolving again into the quiet authority of the portrait as you step back.

Einstein spent his life turning the physical world into equations, translating matter and light into something purely conceptual. Here the process runs in reverse. The man himself becomes the equation, his likeness dissolving into the symbols and particles he once used to describe the universe, a mind caught at the exact point where thinking turns into starlight.
