A Forearm Coiled in Marble

A forearm bends and holds, elbow to wrist gathered into one taut line, the muscle rising like something carved rather than grown. There is no face here, no context beyond the arm itself, only the pure architecture of effort caught mid breath.

Nothing is added to build this image. No paint, no print, no ink. The form is drawn from depth alone, a controlled absence within the surface that lets shadow do the work of muscle and tendon.

Under changing light the arm shifts. Pass it in a dim room and it retreats toward darkness, catch it in a raking beam and every fiber along the forearm sharpens into view. The image is never fixed, it answers to where you stand and how the light falls.

From across a room the piece reads as a single monumental gesture, still and self contained. Close in, that stillness opens into a quiet field of depth, a scatter of small absences that only resolve into an arm when the eye settles.
