Turn it, dim it, let the day move across the room, and the path stays where it is, a little brighter or a little quieter. The labyrinth is always there. It is walked again each time, the way a path is walked again by returning to it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe labyrinth is one of the oldest images we have given to the idea of return, a single way in that is also the only way out, carried for centuries as a pattern for prayer, for pilgrimage, for thought that circles before it arrives.
