No timber, no waterline, no horizon. Only she is kept, suspended in the instant before the water falls away, breath held below the bow.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis is the language of the Void series. The image is built from depth and absence, not from addition. No paint, no print, no ink shape her, only the surface's own quiet arrangement of presence and withholding, appearing and fading again with light, contrast and where the viewer stands.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFrom across a room the work reads as a hush, a pale figure floating in black. Move closer and that hush resolves into a field of depth, each mark holding its place in the current that surrounds her.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA figurehead's task was always to watch without needing to be seen looking, to carry a vessel's hope through water that could just as easily take everything back.
