Come closer and that stillness breaks apart into a field of depth, an entire multitude of small marks, none of them the spiral on its own, all of them the spiral together.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThere is a quiet story inside this piece about how many become one. In low light the work rests close to black, its motion barely held. As light moves across the surface, the spiral gathers, brightens, and turns visible, then fades again as the room changes around it.
