The whiskers thread outward as the faintest scratched lines, barely there, more suggestion than form. The image is scratched into the surface of the acrylic glass, formed through controlled surface damage rather than pigment, a field of individual marks that only becomes a face when seen as a whole. The tiger is always there, patient in the dark surface, and as light moves across the glass the contrast deepens, the stripes catch and glow, and the eye seems to burn a little brighter.
