The face is built entirely through removal, drawn out of the acrylic glass by controlled scratches that carve sculptural detail into cheekbone, brow and grin, leaving the surrounding darkness untouched and enormous.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe image is always present, visible even without direct light. Light does not create it, it sharpens it: under a direct source the silver deepens and the contrast tightens, and the piece reads differently from different angles, without ever losing the face at its centre.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFrom across a room the portrait holds as one monumental gesture, a face pulling itself out of black.
